What is the Jungle Club? We are an After School Club for children aged 4 to 11 years old. We are open from 3.30 pm to 5.30pm for under 8’s and open until 6.00pm for over 8’s. This will change once the club is registered with CSSIW, when it will be open until 6pm for all ages.
We are a team of Play Workers who understand what children want. We are trained, we are friendly and will make sure that everyone who attends our club feels welcome.
We offer a wide range of activities from arts and crafts to campfire cooking. It is our aim to be as child-centred as we can so we encourage the children to let us know what they want and we do our best to provide it.
Getting from school to club safely
Your child’s safety is always our concern, so we will collect them from the school hall at the end of their school day and walk them over to the club (children will be supervised in the hall by staff prior to collection).
What happens next?
We will provide children with a snack of toast and marmite, jam or honey, some fruit and a drink. We will ask them to read our club rules (covering things like good manners) and show them around to help them feel at home. Read our parent’s handbook here.
What they can do?
Arts & Crafts, dressing up, cooking, junk modelling, team sports, experiments, fun and games...and much, much more.
How do your join?
It couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is fill in a form. You can get these forms from the school reception or from The Jungle Club mobile, on the playground or download it here.
Bring along your children and your ideas because our club, as well as making sure they are safe, also wants them to have FUN!
The Holiday Club
The Holiday Playscheme is open Monday to Friday during school holidays from 8.30am to 5.30pm. It is available to children aged eight to twelve until the club is registered with CSSIW. Thereafter the club will be able to accept children as young as four years old. A variety of activities and excursions are available. Previous excursions have included trips to Mount Severn Activity Centre and Bwlch Nant yr Arian.
