This camping site and B&B is ideally situated approximately 500 yards from the A44 main road en route to Aberystwyth, surrounded by trees and greenery and only 5 miles from Llanidloes, in the welcoming village of Llangurig. Three bed and breakfast double rooms are available in the farmhouse for those who wish to enjoy their creature comforts, whilst the fairly secluded site can also accommodate caravans, with room for 5 tourers or motorhomes and 25 tents. Campers are well catered for with toilets, showers and a chemical disposal point to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Pets are welcome and rates are more than reasonable with fees from £3.00 to £5.00 per night.
From this site, bird watchers can enjoy watching Red Kites and various other birds in a peaceful area with spectacular views up and down the valleys. There are numerous forest and hill walks close by with the Wye Valley walk running through the farm (though not the site, so visitors need not be concerned that their peace will be disturbed!). Rally enthusiasts are also welcome to come and sample Glangwys facilities and hospitality.
Amenities nearby include restaurants and pubs in Llangurig, and further down the road in Llanidloes itself, takeaways, a laundrette, indoor heated pool at the leisure centre, tennis courts, fishing at the stunning Llyn Clywedog, and opportunities for golfers to practice their swing at Llanidloes Golf Course, to name but a few.
