The Old School House is situated in the beautiful Pennant Valley, close to the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park, making this the ideal location to explore this wonderful scenic area of Wales, whether by bike, foot or in a vehicle.
Accommodation consists of two comfortable bedrooms, one twin and one king-sized double. Both rooms have exclusive use of a family-sized bathroom, Freeview television, and tea/coffee making facilities.
Whether it's Karen's Welsh cooked breakfast (made from locally sourced ingredients), the coast or the countryside, the area has so much to offer that you will find it hard to leave, and so easy to return, whatever the season.
Local activities include cycling, walking, quad-biking, moto-cross and rally, bird watching, white-water rafting, and fishing.
If you want to leave your vehicle at home and enjoy the area by bike or on foot we can collect and/or drop you off at Machynlleth British Rail Station, or you can leave your car with us if you want to tour the area by bike or on foot. We can also provide you with packed lunches if you wish to stay up in the hills for the day.
If required, we have secure covered storage available for your bikes whilst you are staying with us.
Well behaved dogs are more than welcome, and will be very comfortable accommodated in the utility room, but unfortunately they won't be allowed in the bedrooms or the living areas of the house.
