Red House is a working farm of some three hundred acres situated in the fertile valley of the river Trannon, not far from Trefeglwys. The farm occupies an elevated position enjoying panoramic views of the valley and is an ideal location for those who enjoy exploring the countryside or who just want to relax in beautiful, tranquil, surroundings.
The accommodation we have on offer has a 4 Star rating from the Wales Tourist Board and comprises a self contained living space that can cater for five people in two bedrooms. The first bedroom is an en suite family room that has one King size bed, one single bed and the provision for a cot. The second bedroom has a double or twin beds depending on your requirements. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave and laundry facilities, while the comfortable lounge has central heating and a television. The accommodation also has a separate patio area and lawn. Do not be fooled by the modern white render to the exterior of Red House, the farmhouse is a timber framed structure dating back to the 1600s and this is reflected in the internal decoration of your accommodation.
We aim to provide a warm, friendly welcome and you will be greeted with a freshly baked homemade cake, flowers and fruit, and you are more than welcome to get involved with some of the seasonal tasks on the farm should you so wish.
Red House is conveniently situated for trips out and there are a number of places to eat nearby at Trefeglwys, Llandinam and Caersws (all just two miles away) and at Llanidloes, which is just a little further.
Our rates range from £250 - £450. Please call for further details.
