A stylishly weather boarded static caravan!
The accommodation is self contained and has a double bed and two single beds sleeping four people. It would suit a couple or a couple with children - the two single beds are quite small. The van has been upgraded electrically to include electric log effect fire, 4 ring induction hob and combination oven microwave. TV-DVD and internet access (not a fantastic speed!) are provided. There is a washing machine and small freezer in the corridor next to the caravan. Bed linen and towels provided.
There is a private outside paved patio with built in brick BBQ and grassed area looking out onto the fields.
Tyndrain is a haven for bird watchers and nature lovers. We have a large wildlife pond constructed 3 years ago. Our 60 nest boxes have attracted many birds and here you will see Red Kite, Buzzard, Swallows, House Martins and Pied Flycatcher - and the odd Sparrow Hawk at our well defended bird tables! You may well hear tawny owls during the night and you will almost certainly hear our cockerel, Jonathan, early in the morning. We have sheep-free field where we constructed a wild life pond some 3 years ago. This attracts lots of water wild life to the site. We have many old trees on the site including some wonderful mature old oaks that may well date back to 1650's. Altogether it is lovely scenic place in the hills above Llanidloes and the River Severn - but we would say that wouldn't we!
Easy access to the attractions of Llanidloes, listed amongst the five most desirable postcodes in Wales, in a report commissioned by the Royal Mail last year. www.llanidloes.com. Llanidloes is a fantastic little town, lovely people, lovely shops, lovely pubs and lots of history. Glyndwr's way passes close by the holding, The caravan is next to a working sheep barn. We have a small flock of Lleyn sheep, hens and a horticultural enterprise in our large polytunnel.
We do not allow smoking in the caravan but it is allowed in the patio area. Sorry - no pets - dogs and sheep not a good combination.
Prices from £50/night with 2 nights minimum booking.
