We are a company limited by guarantee with a voluntary board of Directors and employing a number of full and part time staff to deliver regeneration initiatives. We were constituted in March 2002 and are funded predominantly by the Welsh Assembly Government through EU structural funds.
Our aims
The main objects of the Company are:
To improve the quality of life for the inhabitants of Llanidloes and the surrounding area through the provision of opportunities in partnership with others;
To undertake any business, trade or industry, which in the opinion of the Company will be beneficial to the general community of Llanidloes;
To promote, incite and help the development of other ventures in other areas of the United Kingdom which are similar or compatible with the objectives of the Company;
Membership and Officers of the Group
All residents of Llanidloes, Trefeglwys, Llandinam, Llangurig, Old Hall and outlying areas, or anyone working within that area, are eligible to become members or directors of the company. Anybody wishing to become a member needs to apply in writing to the Secretary of the Company at the company address of the Town Hall, Llanidloes. The current board of directors of the Company encompasses a wide range of professional experience in both the private and public sectors. A third of the board of directors retire annually, in rotation, at the AGM, though each retiring director can stand for re-election by the membership at the meeting.
Partnership Working
L.L.A.N.I. Ltd is an integral part of the Llanidloes Task Force and has played an active part in the origination of the Llanidloes Regeneration Plan put together in the wake of the closure of the KTH factory in the town. The Company provides the Secretariat to the Llanidloes & District Community Forum.
Who are we?
The Company employs the services of a number of officers to implement the projects that it originates. The Company maintains an office in the Town Hall where sign-posting advice is available to local businesses and groups in regard to the assistance available from statutory and other voluntary agencies.

Claire Jones has been employed by the company since May 2006 to manage £215,000 of marketing funds that the company has been successful in drawing down for Llanidloes. Her role is to implement joint marketing initiatives in the area over the next 2 years. A number of projects are currently underway:

Establishment of Tourism Working Group (TWG) Retail Scheme
Accommodation Monitoring - A monitoring form given to all accommodation providers in the area, every quarter, asking them to keep track of how many guests are staying with them and where they’re coming from for the purpose of future target marketing. As an added incentive, those who return their forms every quarter will be entered in to a prize draw to win a meal for two at Bistro Hafren, Llanidloes.

Alex has been employed with L.L.A.N.I. Ltd since May 2007. Her role is to further develop the after school club at Llanidloes Primary School that provides childcare cover between the end of school and the end of the working parent’s day. She will also seek to boost the present provision by establishing additional services that can extend the scope of cover offered outside of school hours and particularly to introduce full day care nursery provision for pre-school children.
