The Old Vicarage is a distinctive Victorian property which has been tastefully converted to a cosy 4 star rated Bed and Breakfast Guest House, situated in Llangurig (about 5 miles from Llanidloes) in just under half an acre of sloping informal gardens,. Little has been altered inside or outdoors, and the house features original wooden shutters, an oak staircase and original fireplaces, as well as antiques and artwork. Your comfort is assured with well-furnished bedrooms, each with its own en-suite facilities. We are non-smoking throughout, welcome pets by arrangement and offer secure cycle storage.
We focus too on providing the best from Welsh suppliers, with our breakfasts highlighting local produce. We also offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options and can cater for most dietary requirements. Packed lunches are available to order. Other little extras include eco-friendly toiletries and hand-made soaps.
The Old Vicarage is within easy reach of the Elan Valley, the coast at Aberystwyth and many local attractions as well as being perfectly situated for exploring the whole of mid-Wales, as well as the Marches and other destinations. There are walking and cycling routes on the doorstep - including the Wye Valley Way and the Trans-Cambrian Way - and many outdoor pursuits are within each reach including off-road biking and motor cycling, shooting, star gazing, birdwatching and much more. At the crossroads of Wales, we are an ideal business stop too, being a short drive from the Royal Welsh Showground and the University at Aberystwyth.
