Llanidloes Without Community Council

Llanidloes-Without covers a rural community in mid Wales which includes Van, Oakley Park, Old Hall and Glan-y-nant. We are a separate community surrounding, but not including, Llanidloes Town.

About

The Council is here to serve the Community council of Llanidloes-Without. Its role includes:

Discussing and acting on local needs
Reviewing and commenting on planning applications
Administering the Llanidloes Without element of the Council Tax (the precept)
Responding to consultation documents affecting our community
Working with Powys County Council, the Welsh Assembly Government and other organisations to resolve local issues

The Council is an independent organisation. Councillors are elected by the community. Local government elections are held every four years. Vacancies occasionally arise in between elections. Anyone interested in becoming a Community Councillor should contact the Clerk<./p>

Llanidloes-Without meetings are held on the last Thursday of the month 7.30pm at The Schoolroom, Baptist Chapel, Shortbridge Street, Llanidloes, Powys.

Agendas are published the week prior to the meeting on Notice Boards located at Glan y Nant (telephone kiosk), Y Fan (bus shelter), Llanidloes Town Hall and on their website.
