Glaslyn

Glaslyn is the Cambrian Mountains' most spectacular upland lake, surrounded by heather moorland and offering spectacular views towards the coast and to Snowdonia.

You can walk to the lake from the Dylife to Machynlleth mountain road, see the Google map below for directions. Members of Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust can obtain a code to access the track leading to the lake, others can park at the roadside, and it's a pleasant walk to the lake. You can continue your walk past Glaslyn to the further lake of Bugeilyn, and the adventurous can continue their walk on to the source of the Severn and the summits of Plynlimon.
