Unicorn Hotel

Nestled in the heart of Llanidloes, The Unicorn Hotel is a 17th-century landmark with a legacy stretching back to the 13th century, when it first served as a coaching inn for travellers crossing the Cambrian Mountains.

Today, the Unicorn lives on as more than just a hotel - it’s a community hub and gallery café by day, smokehouse, bar and grill by night.

Whether you’re here for a peaceful stay, a hearty Sunday roast, or to explore the local art and countryside, you’ll find a warm welcome, great food, and a story that spans eight centuries.

Accommodation

The entire property has been renovated to the highest standards, offering the weary traveller or tourist rooms at very reasonable rates. There are seven rooms, all of which can be configured to accommodate up to 15 people.

At our Smokehouse & Grill, we're always pushing the boundaries of flavour. Our menu is constantly evolving as we experiment with new ingredients, bold techniques, and exciting flavour combinations. All whilst staying true to the art of authentic smoking and grilling from our African roots.
